After a great deal of effort, a good slapping for an online freelancing site and an interminable wait, I'm finally able to announce the new home of Wordophilia. Yes, I'm moving. I'm afraid all the back-biting annoyed the hell out of me and, particularly since this domain name is a threatened entity, I figured I'd shuffle away sooner rather than later.

Qwerk.com is staying.

Anyway, for anyone interested, I will now be posting over at ScrawlBug, my own domain.

OM Goodness!! Spike you will be missed. I had just discovered your blog. Shall visit in the greener pasture.

I recently read the open letter to orblers about the bitching and back-biting and after Anon's comments can see what everyone is talking about.

Seems like someone is trying to sabotage the Orble name under the cowardly cover of anonimity.

The "anonymi" are a nasty curse on blogging, Samantha. They have managed to make lots of good people quit. I hate to see anyone intimidated by such rotten little buggers. In the long run, it's better to stand your ground and not let them defeat you, but it seems easier for some people to run away rather than fight. Letting the little creeps win only encourages them.

That particular Anon is probably David, given the self-contradicting comment. Doesn't really matter, though.

SL: You know I'm not running because of intimidation - I don't really care what venom any of the Anons have in their armory (or, for that matter, the amount of free time they seem to have to be able to spend all day posting pointlessly). For people so full of anger they have a surprising amount of room left to be full of sh^t as well.

It's the domain issue that's the problem. This way I have my own, with proper control over it.

I wasn't referring to you, Spike. I understand your reasons. But a few friends of mine have left (over the years) because of the ugliness. If I could make some serious money blogging for someone else, I'd be on it like white on rice! But I'm used to the Orble routine and love a good debate (or battle).
